Université de Neuchâtel

Université de Neuchâtel (UniNE) is a research-oriented university in Switzerland with strong expertise in ecology, evolutionary biology, and biodiversity research. Its work focuses on understanding species interactions, environmental drivers of biodiversity change, and the functioning of terrestrial ecosystems.

Role within ProPollSoil

Within ProPollSoil, Université de Neuchâtel (UniNE) supports the synthesis of existing knowledge on soil–pollinator relationships, contributing ecological and analytical perspectives (WP2). UniNe contributes to the interpretation of harmonised pan-European monitoring data, linking soil conditions with pollinator diversity and distribution (WP3). UniNE contributes to analyses addressing key knowledge gaps on how soil properties and environmental stressors influence pollinator biology and population responses (WP4). UniNE supports the interpretation of Case Study Area data to assess the impacts of soil management practices on pollinator health (WP5) and the university contributes to the integration of empirical findings into broader threat analyses and modelling activities, supporting the development of evidence-based mitigation and management recommendations (WP6).
