Philipps-Universität Marburg

Philipps-Universität Marburg (UMR) is one of Germany’s leading research universities with a strong profile in ecology, evolutionary biology, and biodiversity research. Within the Department of Biology, the Animal Ecology Group (AG Mupepele) focuses on understanding how species interactions and ecological processes are shaped by environmental conditions and land-use practices.

Role within ProPollSoil

Within the ProPollSoil project, UMR coordinates pan-European monitoring activities, the development of standardised field protocols and the collection of comparable soil and pollinator data across field sites (WP3). UMR further contributes to the development of new pollinator monitoring methods and identifies key knowledge gaps on how soil conditions and climate influence pollinator biology (WP4).
