Discovery Center

Discovery Center (DC) is a Hungarian non-profit research and innovation organisation specialising in soil health, sustainable land management and agroecological transition. DC operates a certified Living Lab that connects researchers, farmers, advisors, public authorities and civil society actors to co-develop and test practical solutions under real farming conditions. The organisation has strong expertise in soil biodiversity, participatory monitoring, science communication and stakeholder engagement, working at the interface of research, practice and policy.

Role within ProPollSoil

Within ProPollSoil, Discovery Center leads the Hungarian Case Study Area and supports pan-European monitoring activities. DC coordinates fieldwork, soil and pollinator sampling, and collaboration with land managers and regional stakeholders. The team contributes to assessing how soil management practices influence pollinator health and biodiversity and supports the development of management-relevant recommendations tailored to Hungarian agricultural contexts.
